Genesis

Kendriya Vidyalaya is a system of central government schools under the Ministry of Education of the Government of India. This system came into existence in 1962 under the name of Central Schools and has been affiliated to CBSE since then. It was later renamed as Kendriya Vidyalaya.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Asansol was established in 1987 at Domohani Railway Colony. It has its own permanent building with spacious classrooms, large library, level playground, well-equipped computer lab. The entire building is surrounded by a high boundary wall. It Is a co-educational institution. It has classes from class one to twelve.
